I thought that day light saving was being brought in against the peoples wishes. As daylight saving encourages people to be out doors more in the evening, which in turns encourages shopping and commerce in general.

But as the referendums were for extended trading hours and this was knocked back then one dead theory.

Scotty

PS may all be a conspiracy, as people will want to shop in there new found daylight and may vote in the affirmative next time the subject of extended trading hours appears.

Beatie will not entertain the idea for QLD coz it 'Increases the risk of skin cancer....' lol    :freak:

It's moments like these that I'm ashamed to be a citizen of "the smart state" :spit:

Thought it must have been one of Nova's little jokes until they played the actual interview. What a f*ckwit

Can't see the point of it myself in any case though.

Geez Tabbie, don't ya know anyfink. Bloody daylight saving also fades the curtains, cows don't know when to be milked, and as for the poor ole Roosters they are just plain confused

Mate say you generally get home at 5 pm and it gets dark abot 6.30 pm. Now with daylight saving you get home at 5 pm but it gets dark at 7.30 pm.

People will be out and about more, that is a given. On this information is what I based my intial theory on.

The major disruption or angst will be to the men on their way to work in the mornings. Their body clocks will be all out of sync and they will find they have a hardon on the bus on their way to work rather than an hour earlier when they are in bed.
