Now I know these bikes are nothing like you are describing but believe me when it comes to reliability you really should stick to the big brands. You get what you pay for. With Honda and Yamaha I had very few mechanical problems (ever) and believe me I thrashed the a$$ out of those bikes. Plus I know you say now, as the responsible parent, they wont be raced or jumped, but give the kids a few years. As much as you may want to deny it its only a matter of time. My mum swore black and blue I couldnt have a race bike but then dad was added into the equation and it became a great hobby of ours. They have copped a bad wrap over the years but believe me you will never have as much fun as what you do on a quad IMO!!!Hope this helpsCheers

It is a well made ATV it has 4hrs use and I want to sell it and the aluminum ramps that cost me $5300 and I will sell for $4500. PM if you interested and want to know why I am selling. jordak Member 1,226 Member For: 20y 5m 14d Posted 11/12/06 03:58 AM Author Share Posted 11/12/06 03:58 AM Well after ignoring (well more chosing to disregard rather than ignore) sound and sensible advice, I outlayed $5,500 for 3 Chinese quads. Just could'nt justify spending 5 times that on the "proper" jobbies. In short I now have a new hobby, namely MOTOR BIKE MECHANIC In four weeks of use I have had to replace 2 broken chains, 1 throttle cable, a large section of plastic faring, fix a leaking petrol tank, recharge flat batterys, remove several broken cosmetic appendages and retighten / replace 175 nuts and bolts. So in summary, as warned the Bikes are and should be stayed well clear of, unless you are happy to spend your days searching replacement parts and nights putting them back together. On a positive note after spending a total of 4 fault free hours exploring the surrounding bushland with my two sons and seeing their smiling faces after conquering a few"Gigantic and Awesome" Hillclimbs. (their assessment) I could almost say it's been worth the grief and financial outlay.........almost.I'll let you know how things are going in a few months .............Oh and Daddy's got the bug and is seriously considering getting a 450 Raptor

Well actually there under some tarpolines at the back of the shed awaiting their fate. They have been replaced by two new Raptor 80's which to date have provided a combined 10 hours of fault free enjoyable, smooth and rattle free motoring expensive lesson learnt Oh and Dads 700 Raptor is getting booked in for a custom tune in a couple of weeks once the go fast bits arrive
