Eugene Member 670 Member For: 20y 1m 27d Gender: Male Location: Newcastle NSW Posted 18/10/06 07:15 AM Share Posted 18/10/06 07:15 AM If, and I dont see how an efi car with all things being right, will ever flood, the worst it would do is cough, it wont start and run, if you pour a half a cup of fuel down the throat of a carby engine then crank, it will kick, for a second or two, then die, it wont run.I supose if there was ALOT of fuel sitting in each port from say dead plugs or ECU fuse or whatever, just speculating, it may fir once spark is given, but not for long.the upside of doing the hold it flat and crank trick is it will "rester" you cam phasers, has to be cranked for 10 seconds, but apparantly they can get out of whack, this fixes it.
