What adaptors did you guys use to fit between the block and oil filter. I was think about the Universal Engine Oil Cooler Kit form perma-cool but I am not to sure if the adaptor fits and it also use's clamps on the fitting. Would hate for one to blow off.

Any more details on the rest of the setup that you guys are running

Thanks

Also make sure that the Adaptor got a Thermostat build in.

Speco makes one.

Just A quick Pic of the one I Installed...

P.S, there is no such thing as a thermostat controlled adaptor plate, the 1 pictured above has a pressure release valve on which is rated at 250 kpa... you would want the plumbing to match to ensure saftey.... :sleepystuff:

I did order an Adaptor from Auto Barn, and was there when he rang Speco.

And yes I was told it's got a Thermostat build in.

My Instuction Leaflet say's that it is a pressure control valve... and when I quizzed rare spares in syd about it , they said the same... its only a spring and ball bearing in there so I dont see how that would regulate flow via temp..

anyway good luck with it... :sleepystuff:

You can get the oil cooler off Ebay for about $40....

How many people run a Thermostat on the oil cooler line. I know that you do it to help the motor /oil get up to the correct temp quicker but surly with the turbo the oil will heat up a lot quicker and higher then a non turbo.

So do you have to have in the T or is it fine with out one.????

Thank you for that info.

@ the moment my oil temp goes to 100 C after about 20 km and stays there.

The cooler should bring it down .
