Well I'm still in shock. I just signed up this afternoon for a Vixen red F6, 6spd auto. Brand new, $11000 off. This was at Hills Ford in Waitara. I just went in for a look and it turns out they had 4 BF Mk I F6's they wanted to move and after negotiating a trade in on my beloved VT commodore, we did the deal. Damn I'll miss my V8, but apart from the exhaust note I know I'll soon forget about it. One area I'll be downgrading though is the brakes. My VT has massive AP's and Alcons with 4 piston calipers.

Pick it up next Saturday. I'm already planning upgrades, but it will have to stay stock for a few months, which I'm ok with, seeing my wife had no dramas buying the car.

What first, edit and a) Exhaust, b) Injectors, c) Valve springs or d) Intercooler e) all of the above

In Sydney who are the gun workshops; Autotech, C&V? Others. I'm not aeverse to going to Melbourne for work either as my in-laws live down there and I go down a couple times a year anyway.

Anyway, can't wait to get the beast and glad to join the club. I'll be asking a ton of questions over the next few weeks/months but for now even bog stock the car is awesome. I had test drive in Parramatta earlier today and was sold straight away.

Congrats! I'm sure you'll thoroughly enjoy your new 'Phoon...

As for workshops, you'll get heaps of advice from all corners. My suggestion would be to come on a cruise or two and get see the work done to some of the "regulars". Much better to get first-hand knowledge from those who have experienced both the good and the bad.

Again, welcome aboard!

Thanks everyone. It's been a long time since I owned a turbo (GT-4) and am looking forward to owning one again. Now if I could get it to sound and idle like my LS1 it'd be perfect.

Great choice. Come on the Snowies cruise ; there'll be plenty of modded T's, and a lot of fun.

Welcome styk

Pull one of your plug leads off and punch a few holes in the muffler and it will be just like

your LS1 :spoton:
