City is just to much traffic - 5 mins out the road and vroom vroom... long straight with visibility for ages... nothing except the roos, sheep and cows watching as you go past!Look out rossco, I might be flying the Typhoon through your area within the next week or so! Posted 25/05/08 10:46 AM Share Posted 25/05/08 10:46 AM Got my licence in 72' on the second go.....bombed on the first for speeding..... First car...EK sedan.....freedom......had gangs of fun in it...even lost my cherry in it....eventually died against an earth bank while playing silly buggers in the rain.Second car....XM Futura hardtop ....only a six but learned heaps while I had it......died after rolling it just outside Bathurst while playing rally drivers on a dirt road.....first trip to hospital.Third car...289 ZA Fairlane....first V8....gave the poor thing heaps till one of my mates wrapped it round a tree. Fourth car..XT GT replica...came with a 289 that I blew up and replaced with a heavily modded 351....spent heaps on making it fly.....and learned a lot about driving in the process.....eventually sold the roller to one guy and the engine to another.Fifth car...XW GTHO Phase 1.....power to burn at the time and I just went crazy :cartman: ....in two years I had accumulated over 50 demerit points and only stayed on the road by getting licences in other states which you could get away with back then....was on first name basis with most of the local police. Sold it for peanuts in the mid 80's when nobody wanted to know about them..... Sixth car....XA Fairmont hardtop factory GS 351 4spd 9in......met my first wife and slowed down "a little".....sold it to a mate who put it under the back of a parked truck, sending his girl to hospital for 3 mths.Well, that's the first six..and Ive had about 12..... We can leave the rest till another day.
