64 EH Expensive Daewoo Special Wagon, with the Diamond Dot radio 149 cubic inches of true old Ausie six, three on the tree and a great rear area with the back seat folded up .... plenty of room for a double mattress ;) at the drive ins.

'72 HQ Kingswood, once again with a 6 cylinder and 3 on the column manual.

Mitsubishi Galant in 1974, which unfortunately and ironically was totalled when hit by an EH Holden.

Followed by my first V8, and first FORD, an XB GS Falcon 4 door with a 302 and 4 speed. Had quite a few problems with that one... especially gearbox and diff ( has anything changed in 30 years?) Ha Ha!) swore I'd never ever buy a Ford again!

Then came along a new HZ GTS Monaro , my first automatic in 1978.

A number of enduro bikes were in the garage for the next 6 years also....

Suzuki PE250, Kawasaki KLX 250 and Honda XR500

Then came along a 2nd hand Honda Civic (for the missus) which was traded in for Mazda 323 sedan in 1984.

Monaro was traded for a Toyota Supra in 1986 (still have it after 17 years and it is for sale. Most reliable car I have owned so far)

Mazda was traded for a VL Calais in 1989, which was subsequently passed on to my son in 1996.

1996 bought a VR Calais from govt auction, and still have it (SWMBO drives it)

1998 bought my 68 Corvette convertible. ( It's a Sunday cruiser, which I told my wife I bought so we could spend more quality time together touring SA wineries)

2003, bought one of my most enjoyable rides. XR6T ute! Had to be Blueprint to match my wife's eyes ;)

Now for this year...... mmmmm upgrade of the VR Calais to....

mmmmm ....

what do you think?

2nd - Datsun 1600 - with all the above transfered into it after a :censored: moron crashed into #1

3rd - '90 Skyline Silhouette no mods

4th - '93 Subaru RS Turbo (brand new) 225000 kms when sold in 2001 (should never have sold it)

5th - 2001 VW Bora V6 4Motion (Good cruiser but that's it)

6th - Current ride 1990 2.2ltr Mazda 626 (on loan from sister in law) while I wait for the T ;)

Nissan Pintara 86

Pintara...standout car? I own one, it's slower than a wet week! (true it's an auto GXE wagon with 300,000 on the clock, a stuffed exhaust, and a fat bas*ard driving it) :)

I'm only 19, and still driving my first car, as above, a sh*tbox 1988 Nissan Pintara wagon, hopefully I will be able to afford a replacement in 2005 (probably won't have enough for a T (plus turbo + youngun = insurance nightmare), I'd like a TJ Series 1 Magna VR-X instead, possibly EL/AU Fairmont)

I'll list most of my folks cars instead (to compensate for only having owned one car) newest to oldest:

mum's:

KN Laser (current)

EA Falcon wagon

XE Falcon sedan

KE70 Corolla

'70 Cortina

dad's:

N13 Pulsar (current, probly going to be replaced this year)

'73 Corona

GE Sigma

HG Premier

(others, including RA28 Celica, '76 Cortina 250ci, ~XY Falcon, and many more)

A XR6T of course!

Or if your budget can't stretch that far maybe a n/a XR6 or a XT with the alloys and spoiler package.

Hi, First set of wheels was a WLA Harley, then came 4 wheels a Singer 9 the 9 stood for 9 HP and with its OHC developed 36HP it had mechanical brakes. The brake shoes where pushed onto the drum by a cam that spread the top of the shoes. On a hill you needed first gear at the top to be able to stop. Wished I still had it even though it was a lot of bad enginering but that was the 1950's.

I was with Expensive Daewoo until 1972 then swapped to Ford and including Toyota 4WD trayback. Lately I have had a NF Fairlaine, BA ute, and a BAII Fairmont Ghia. I have bought a BF XR6T ute, with leather seats, front and rear parking sensors, XR carpets, a hard top, GPS maps.

You young fellows have the best cars avaliable, but at least I know that my ute is the best vehicle that I have ever owned. :pinch:
