Just had a random thought - didnt Ford have a sticker relating to family or something on there cars at one stage in the 80's?

I remember one that said - 'Driving Australia's Future' or something like that...

But they also pushed something along the lines of - 'Ford family or fine cars' or something didnt they?

Now a family with - Fine Ford Cars - instead... :)

FPV F6 Rspec

Tickford Concord...

hehehe Like father like son!

Man... what did that sticker say?

I remember as a kid washing the old mans Fairmont's every weekend, and he had a new one every bloody 2-3 yrs... (100,000km's or 3 yrs, whatever was first)... Funny its a warranty slogan, it was Boral's slogan for company cars as well...

I believe Boral was one of Ford Australia's biggest ever fleet buyers also...

Thanks Dad... now its in my blood...

aaahhhh I miss being a rice burner boy!

I have always hated fords untill the ba turbo, the au was possibly the ugliest car ever made imo.

but a 6 cyl turbo big block, who can argue with that lol, and I find the look of my ute quite appealing

Ive always been into 4's N/A or forced. Hated both Expensive Daewoo and Ford. Wanted a big newish car with some leg room for under 10k. Wound up with a VR II Crumo. Then wanted a ute to cart the dog n stuff, Holdens got no room... Put the seat all the way back and you sit bolt upright... Dumb! Decided I wanted a turbo. Didnt wanna go 15yo Jap import sturff.

Turbo Falcon Ute fitted the bill nicely.

Well my father has always had a ford and always kept them in smick condition. Think I disappointed him with my first car(HQ station wagon that would go almost anywhere except through a tree) but after that it has always been :stirthepot: :cartman: :hrmm:

#1 1988 VL executive in superb condition. Red, interceptors. Tinted windows.

#2 1998 VL berlina turbo wagon. 3" mandrel bend exhaust. Silver, with calais front end and rims.

#3 1988 VL calais turbo wagon (original!) took the 3" exhaust off the berlina and sold it stock. This car cost me $8500 to buy and ended up costing me just shy of $30k.

- new LSD with 4.11 gears

- yarra valley jatco 3-speed (champion transmission)

- Nizpro intercooler

- single-piece tailshaft

- custom CAI

- custom catch-can

- t66 turbo

- drilled and slotted rotors

Was a fantastically quick car and an absolute sleeper.

#4 1998 TH Magna Advance

#5 2001 TJ Magna VRX Limited - great all-round car

#6 The TT!
