First car was a 1300 Mark 2 Escort - that ended up with a 360horsepower 2 litre turbo motor in it, big 14" Simmons wheels, lowered etc.

Then bought a 1300 Mazda 808 Coupe. Converted it to an RX3 coupe with injected 12a turbo & 5 speed. It sh%tall over the Escort - heelspin in every gear and chirped into fifth.

Moved up in the classy stakes and got a Mazda HB Cosmo 4 door (the Jap 929) with it's factory 12a turbo. That ended up extend ported, lightened flywheel, zorst etc etc.

Company Car EA falcon

Company Car V6 Magna

Company Car VX Commodore

Company Car VX Calais

V8 Soarer when I wasn't working (zorst, CAI, lowered, 18's)

Car allowance (woohoo!!) XR6T Sedan current ride

Which is the best - XR6T

Which is the most fun - The RX3 Coupe- man that was CRAZY!!

First car I owned was a Datto Sunny :spoton: That car was bulletproof, I learnt to drive a manual in it, and the original motor and gearbox was still going (unopened) some 200,000km later after three people learnt to drive a manual in it.

Then came a R31 Skyline Silhouette, KB Laser (the twin carb model .. w00t), a Pintara TR-X and now the T

The car I learnt to drive in was a 79 auto Escort panel-van ;) Was my dad's, so the back was always full of his gear (he was a mechanic), he also had a ZB Fairlane ... was a sad day when he sold it.

I think this thread should be called "What is your list of road registered cars".

My first car was a 70's model honda civic which was a paddock basher.

It took the most punishment out of all my cars by far!!! Could not kill this car

First road registered car was a LJ Torana (the boys in blue loved this car)

Next a VB Commo (never gave me trouble)

VR Lexcen Newport (couldnt afford the insurance cost on a Calais, but was a piece of turd)

VL Commo, had the car for about four months as a run around.

last but not least BAII XRT.

Next car looks to be a 300C or a Phoon

My mini ended up too rusty - so I took the race motor out, put the standard one back in, and unbolted everything that wasnt required to make the car move, windows, lights, electrics, bonnet, boot, seats, headlining etc etc (I was inspired by Goodbye Pork Pie), and turned up at my parents lifestyle block (10 acre farm).

that's was great fun - doing jumps, slaloms, shunting my brothers road car about (an old crappy mitsubishi galant).

That lasted for a few weeks, until my parents decided they didnt like having the car tearing up their paddocks. Then the poor wee thing had to go to the tip (after taking what was left off).

first set of wheels.....

A malvern star 3 speed (hand grip shift) bicycle which had optional mirrors (left and right) installed. I remember saving my shillings and pence to buy a battery operated horn.

Had that bike for ages.

As I progressed it had further mods, most to make it lighter.

Lost the mirrors, the mudguards the lights etc ...

In high school it was further modified to accomodate the school bag and sports bag.... tennis racquet/ hockey stick and other crap. I had a carrier installed on both the front and rear. (a two wheeled utility vehicle :spoton: )

Then later on, with the psychodelic period of the later 60's and the movie Easy Rider.... I flicked the carriers, bought a candy apple red banana seat with a high profile "sissy" bar at the rear. I painted the bike gloss purple, the sissy bar was flurescent red/orange. The front forks were elongated, and I even traded my 3-sp handgrip shifter for "3-on-the-bar" stick shifter.

WOO-HOO!

Doing monos was a breeze by shifting weight at the rear of the seat, but sharp turning was impossible.

At this stage I was also doing donuts out on the farm in the family EH wagon.

Learning the art of "oppy" lock power slides on dirt roads.

My first personal vehicle was a 1958 1.5 ton Morris Commercial truck. It had served its time on the farm, and dad had long since upgraded to a Nissan 1-tonner. It wasn't worth trading, so I secured it as my very own.

It was originally a PMG service vehicle (That's pre telstra days) modified with steel tray and sides. Painted fire engine red, with big black guards.

Had a p!ssy 4 cylinder petrol engine with 4 speed non-synchro box. It was so gutless, I would get overtaken by fully laden MTT buses of the time. :nyaah:

I went to an eastern suburbs private school for my senior years, and used to cop no end of crap for being a wog, and living in the western suburbs.

I'd park it in students car park, alongside beemers, jags, austin healys and MG's.

All the rich kids had daddy's cars to take to school.

I reckon I got more attention from the chicks in my Morrie, though .... :tease:

I've got plenty of good stories about that morrie.....

If I get p!ssed enough at big vic weekend 2, I can rant a bit more.

Occasionally (when the Morrie was sick) I'd take the family HQ Kingswood (trusty 173 ci, with 3 on the tree). I bought a foam aircleaner for it, and would stick it on when I had the car. The induction drone made it sound like a race car... funny how little things make a huge difference to the perception of speed.....

Later vehicles were

Mitsubishi Galant (1500 4sp)

XB GS Falcon (302 4sp)

HZ GTS Monaro (308 auto)

Suzuki TS250 trail

Suzuki PE250 enduro

Kawasaki KLX 250 enduro

Honda XR500 enduro

1980 Honda Civic (1100?? 4sp (no first gear))

Mazda 323 sedan (1500 4sp)

86 Toyota Supra (3l 5sp)

VL Calais (3l auto)

VR Calais (3.8l auto)

current vehicles..

68 Corvette Convertible

XR6T Ute (4.0l T auto)

Mazda 6 luxo sport (2.3l 5sp)

VC Late model camira Vacationer

Oh, and a few road bikes..... (bicycles)

Custom classic Moser red-framed racer (Campagnolo 12sp)

Avanti Corsa Elite road bike (Shimano Ultegra 20 sp)

Gees, that expended a bit of mental energy remembering that lot!
