Some impressive cars you guys have owned!! Ford & non Ford.... Here are mine.

2. 97 EL fairmont ghia - 5ltr with leather, had 186rwkw's with heads/cam etc.

3. 03 BA XR6 turbo ute - tuned by headsex, loved this ute! Power somewhere around 300-310rwkw on 15psi

4. 02 VX SS - went to the dark side for 7 months lol! This was a beast though, 302rwkw from the LS1, cam/heads/manual/3.9's - ripper skids!

5. Current car 08 BF XR6 turbo - Pit Lane modded, 379rwkw's. Is my everyday car & love it!

Hello there, pretty much first time poster. Been hovering around a while.

Just wondering what car have people come from before your XR6t? And why?

Soon to have a baby in a few months and I've been thinking about looking into XR6t's.

For the extra space and for whenever we travel. I own an 02 Sti at the moment. Love it but not sure what to do. Sits on 3000rpm at 110klm on the freeway where as an xr would prob be alot lower.

Anyways cheers.

I know there's a thread about what you had but this is kinda different I guess

I had a white Hyundai Elantra Hatchback. 2L 5 speed manual. It was my first car. It was a giant P.O.S! Ever since the xr6t's came out I have always wanted one so I finally bought a bf mkII last year and wouldn't have it any other way.

Skyline GTR mate (R33 V-Spec with a few sensible mods). Had to sell due to upcoming family commitments also - GTR simply wasn't safe or big enough.

Been wrapped with my XRT for its intended purpose (fast, practical, reliable) over 4 years - Sti and XRT are very different to drive, but I think an XRT would be much better for a family overall than the Sti.

I am moving on again soon - do you need a wagon maybe? I'm considering a Bogan special Sportswagon (also an FG F6 if I go sedan again) - would love a wagon for my two dogs as they don't really fit in a sedan with the child seat......trying to stop them playing with my daughter whilst driving isn't ideal....! ha ha

I've thought about a wagon, but the only wagons I would be keen on were imports.A Nissan Stagea or VR4 Legnum wagon. But I don't really want to stuff around with imports.

If I was going onto an XR6T I was thinking of checking out some ford dealers and others decent yards. Would be good if they would straight swap me a late nice BA or a BF.I doubt it though lol. Try and rip me off probably anyways.
