Any body noticed that Optimax is now called V power! The label on the pump has changed from blue to red with a picture of a Ferrari.

I went to get some 95ron and couldn't find it. what's going with the pricing, standard unleaded was 110.9 a litre followed by 120.9 for what?? and 127.9 for what??respectively..

cheers andrew

From the shell website

"New Shell V-Power is a high density, high performance 98 octane fuel which contains Friction Modification Technology (FMT). Designed to reduce friction in the engine, and improve engine performance and responsiveness, new Shell V-Power has been developed by the same scientists who develop Ferrari’s racing fuels.

New Shell V-Power Racing is Australia’s only specially formulated 100 octane fuel with 5% ethanol available at the pump. New Shell V-Power Racing contains Friction Modification Technology (FMT) which is designed to reduce friction in the engine, improve engine performance and responsiveness, and give improved acceleration.

yea I used V-Power Racing yesterday in Brisbane, no difference felt between that and just the V-power, but when the tune goes in I'll be using the 100 oct formula from then on.. I think u can squeeze a bit more timing in with the 100 ron

It all sounds like a crock of marketing *&^% to me!

I have used optimax for almost 3 years now in the T and am on the 4th tank of "V power" (sounds like a drink) and haven't noticed one bit of difference!

Anyhoo.. my 2 cents worth (that's all I have left after the mortage now)

cheers :kissmy:
