That as I get older despite losing some of my hearing that I want my car to quieter rather than louder... or that I'm closer to 40 than 30.

That the stock speakers distort at a decent level of volume even with the 'premium sound system' - maybe that's something to do with losing part of my hearing...

Despite that fact that my car gets to a hundred is less than seven seconds and does about 240km/h indicated, I'm still urging for more power down the back straight of the circuit on a track day.

Conversely, that I miss being able to have my foot on maximum throttle for more than six seconds and that I don't get to use full throttle more than a few times a week in these days of speed cameras, demerit points and camper vans...

That when I was as young as most of those who post on here, 106kW in the KF Laser TX3i seemed a lot, 121 kW in my XF seemed a lot, 164kW seemed a lot in the V8 EB3, 165kW in my Mondeo ST220 seemed a lot... and that after the LC Torana with the column change that 5 speeds was more that I would ever need... and then the Territory had 180kW and the BF had 245kW...

That turbos can be reliable (don't ask... all I'd say is that the shed has a pile of detonation damaged forged pistons) which turned me off them in a daily driver for nearly two decades...

That if you get to a freight train of cars following nose to tail... it's not the fault of the campervan at the front - they are desperate to try and let folk get past but it's the fault of the lobotomised driver second in the queue who won't make a perfectly safe passing move at less than the legal limit.

That once you get past the queue (with the benefit of the torque of the Barra 245T) that you can engage cruise and sit in fresh air for most of the rest of the trip!

That a t with 335 rwkw's will not stay in a straight line if you floor the pedal from take off.

1. Anything that doesnt have the FORD logo on it is apparently sh*t.

2. Someone can always change their gears quicker then you without even showing a video of it.

3. Lots of people want to copy others when it comes to rims.

4. Standard response to fuel consumption issues is.. ITS A TURBO WHAT DO YOU EXPECT blah blah blah

5. There are those who get wogged and then there is everyone else

6. Lowered + no wing + nice rims = :spoton:

7. More one eyed people on these forums then people care to admit.

8. Spam is so rampant on these forums it makes it not worth looking at most of the time.

The things I've learnt, learned, or learned are:

1.) The fact that no-one agrees with everyone, everyone disagrees with fact - fact is wrong, I am wrong, you are wrong.

2.) The only true measure of a car is ET, and when that's fullfilled, it's MPH that matters, and when that's been done, it can't be right, it's a dyno queen.

3.) Manuals are slower than autos'. Except when proven otherwise, refer 1.)

4.) No tuner is any good, except yours

5.) Your car has never pinged, never had a bad tune, coz refer 4.)

6.) It doesn't matter what you say, refer 1.)

7.) It takes more than $10 of fuel to make a pass doen the 1/4 mile.

8.) It takes a good shot of NOS to get DBOSS a decent time.

9.) We love to :laughing:refer 7.) & 8.)
