Guest Guests Posted 11/12/06 10:46 PM Share Posted 11/12/06 10:46 PM Yeah sorry I couldn't join you guys for the Xmas function. I am keen to participate from time to time and I'm also keen to organise something one day. I work offshore so am away 50% of the time and it's hard to mount a case for boys stuff when you've been away from home for so long. My missus is not really into cars either so any participation on my behalf won't be spur of the moment as it's family first. Steve, you've done a great job so far and I think everyone would like to see you continue your efforts somehow. The night cruise was a sensational idea and I'd like to see another one of those now that we have daylight saving. I have a Digital SLR that we could put to some use. After the Christmas rush I'll consider putting another cruise together. Merry Christmas everyone

People like myself express initial interest and then go and get themselves far too busy, sell their car(!!! I miss her!) and don't turn up.I don't have time to join a car club and hence I like the informal nature of our cruises etc... where I can turn up if I'm available and not feel guilty if I can't make it. But after hearing about the turn out for this event, I do feel guilty. It must be disheartening to go to all that effort and then have no-one turn up, so from me I'm sorry for my lack of communication. When I get my BF, I will be back as casual attendee. Thanks for all your efforts Steve!Mark

If Steve can't organise a cruise or get together that's interesting enough for people to want to attend then he's obviously no good at it in which case I say good riddens Only Problem is WA only has a relatively small member base compared to our Eastern States counterparts which makes it hard to get the numbers to participate. This will improve over time.So Steve put your Dummy back in give it another go in the New Year as your efforts are appreciated if not always rewarded

I'm still able to help but as far as doing this myself I just can't. Maybe my post sounded a little harsh, I didnt mean it to be having a go at everyone at all, so I wasn't looking for apologies or explanations. It could quite possibly be one of those things where everyone has something important happening... unfortunate for the day. We'll see what happens next year. If someone else wants to jump onboard for WA maybe we can keep a joint effort going?←Hey Steve, I too am sorry at the turnout. I know you said that you weren't disappointed in the members as such, but moreso the situation... but I just wanted to say that I did let you know a long time ago (Post #20 on Page2) that I would be over east for work during that weekend. Anyway, don't stop organising the cruises mate! We all really do apppreciate your effort even if it isn't said by everyone all the time. Maybe everyone should make an effort to be somewhat more proactive with regards to organsing cruises... Lets hope so in 2007 Have a good Christmas everyone!Cheers,Ross
