I have a clunk in the front end in reverse & turning to the right at differant times. Have had the car back to the Dealer, supposedly checked & tightened the front end & it's still there. I have it booked in to a Wheel Alignment place today who are going to go over every inch of it, so I hope they have some success ! He stated that the BF Rack has the mod done, but agreed that the front does need a tighten up after a few K's. Unfortuneately I still have the clunk. I have personally checked the wheel bearings as per the TSB & the wheel nuts & all accessable bolts that I can get to both under the bonnet & inner guard including brake calipers. A bit of a mystery. The funny part is that it doesn't do it all the time. obi Member 150 Member For: 19y 15d Location: Qld Posted 12/10/06 12:41 AM Share Posted 12/10/06 12:41 AM Tab,Had the whole front tightened. The Alignment bloke said that the nuts on the crossmember were loose, I said " How loose " & he said "about two turns". On driveing out I'm sure I heard a faint clunk as I was turning to the right. Will let you know after a couple of days as to the outcome, but I have a sneaky suspicion that its still there. I can't believe that it would be that loose after the Dealer said that it had been tightened. Have a sneaky suspicion that it may be the Rack. You can turn it lock to lock & there is no clunk, but this could change when there is pressure on the system in a turn. If they haven't fixed it than I feel that it is going to be a hard one to find, as it's intermittant.
