Ve Manual F6 Auto, F6 was quicker around the track, track was (wakefield)

It was actually the north circuit at Oran Park. Not really surprising they both were so close to each other, suposedly the same power and the F6 only 6kg's heavier.

I have to admit I like the look and a big V8 does have its appeal, Expensive Daewoo have in the past been known not to be scared in making a decent car. The same cannot be said for Ford. It still amazes me that Ford released a turbo six as factory. Lets hope they give the V8's a shot in the arm as well.

Time will tell how good the new Late model camira is. Whatever it is like it will sell well and they will be lining up T's at the lights where ever you are. Good luck guys, I rekon we might need it.

Scotty

Keep an an eye on those Maloo's. They do go,VZ or otherwise, Edit and Zorst they haul.Takes until 3rd to catch em. Bastards :smilielol:

Would not be suprised if I am in a modded Expensive Daewoo sometime soon :tease:

Them thar Maloo's are now officially the worlds fastest production ute, clocking in with a 271.44km/h (two way) average with a highest run (with the wind) of 277.16km/h!

That's 168mph and 172.2mph with the old 297kw LS2! :smilielol:

If you didn't have to look at them, these new HSV's really are a force to be reckoned with :kissmy:

Lumpy :tease:

dont panic guys with motor mags times, I know for a fact that F6BF ran a 13.2 bog standard then few weeks later ran a 12.91 with bmc or k@n filter only. so whoever gets the jump on the street will win. also his was zf auto. they ve commodores dont look too bad however will they fall apart in time like most other first model commodores, I would be very hesitant on the first model if I was a Expensive Daewoo fan. think our ba-bfs look way better anyway. would like to see ford give the v8 some more mumbos and wait loss where possible to compete with the dark side however dont hold your breath with the bf mk 2,hopefully orion. this is why I sold my moddified ba and bought a bf f6 auto and now have 320rwkws, cant wait now for any form of ve to be at the lights some time soon, have had a couple of ve ss commodores avoid me.(poofs)

I can't beleive you all put so much credibility in Motor and Wheels published times. They have never been acurate and as long as they are willing to compromise their integrity for dollars, then they always will be.

Think back to the first test Wheels published on a T v XR8 v SS. Both Falcons were faster. The very next issue, for some reason, they ran an almost identical test, but this time the SS was amazingly almost a second faster and touted as the best there (my local Ford dealer had the articles on their walls for a while to proove a point).

Both magazines, for several years now, have consistantly published quicker time for Holdens and usually slower ones for Ford, go to any public drag meet and you'd find the oposite. Also, Michael Sthal seems to get conflicting results on his Drive tests compared to his mag efforts.

Sorry, but these mags can't be trusted to deliver credible reviews.

Of course you might go up against a supercharged Late model camira and get you arse whipped too. If a turbo 4l makes big power a turbo/sc 6l makes much bigger power.

As for looks, the VE looks stunning from most angles. much nicer than BF. BF is still nice especially an FPV, but those massive overhangs let it down.

your opinion mr matestyk, I think the ve looks horrible from behind, looks a bit average from the side with those weird guards more so the front guard. front looks great, all on all very much like a lexusish look, that's my opinion, I much prefer the smooth ,lines of the bf ford. didnt think I said mines the fastest car on the road either, but there arent many s/c ve commodores out there yet. youd also be surprised between moddified 4l turbo vs 6l s/c in street trim on the road mate comes down to traction, 6l s/c may make more power but does this make it faster on the street? no offence bud all in a days fun, looking forward to seeing what whips my ass then I will congradulate them.
