btw.. I am starting to wish I got that auto.. wish I could get it changed!!!

Order a short throw shifter from Mal Wood, or a bangshift from Dynowog = problem sorted. It be like night and day; it's embarassing how bad the stock units are by comparison. As for clutch work, well your f*cked; ya shoulda got the auto

I was thinkn bout gettin one of those..

whats the herrod one like? I saw that my dealer installes them

I want to fit a short throw shifter to my T5, but as the story would go.. fit the shifter, pay for it all, 3 days later the T5 goes kaboom and with it my $500 odd :spoton: better wait till I upgrade to a T56.

As others have said, time for an edit  I had a navara try and reel me in a few weeks back.. I'm sure the canberra guys have seen it, its got 24" rims.

I've heard that the Herrod units are ok, but not a patch on the Mal Wood, or Ripshift for example. I'm sure someone here had one, and switched to one of the others. Doesn't matter what shifter you get, your Ford dealer will be able to install it. I'd be surprised if a shifter could void any sort of warranty as well.

Herrod costs $500, the Mal Wood unit is ~$325 outright, a Ripshift some ~$499 (not including fitting). Check the Mal Wood/Driveline forums for reviews of their unit.
