The Rat's crash wasn't unaided and the 34 car was black flagged for causing it.

Yep, that's a good call and well pointed out...

Still wondering why so many folk ended up in either the kitty litter or in a wall with their own work this year which had some tragic consequences.

When I saw the Rat's crash I really thought he was a gonner. I think a lot of others thought the same. So fast into a solid bank........Ferk.

I haven't found any reports on his condition. Anyone know?

I spent the day at Eastern Creek being a Flag Marshal for my club supersprint. I was given regular race updates over the 2way, and I have videoed the race for Christmas viewing when the motorsport is lean on TV.

It was great to see a Ford win, and especially Craig as he is a top bloke.

Radisich is OK in hospital

Team Kiwi car is written off as Paul Radisich crashes into tyre wall at 200k/ph at Bathurst 1000

9 October 2006

Paul Radisich is in good spirits after spending the night in hospital as a precaution after a heavy crash in the Bathurst 1000 yesterday.

Radisich ploughed the nose of his Team Kiwi Racing Expensive Daewoo straight into a tyre wall at around 200 kilometres an hour.

He had to be cut from the wreckage.

Team manager David John says Paul Radisich is OK. John says Radisich is comfortable after a bit of a fright.

David John says the crash has written off the Team Kiwi car, so they are not too sure how they are going to be able to enter the remaining races in the championship.

What a day.

BUT HANG ON.......What was that big new hotel complex being built at the bottom of Conrod.

A quick google and a few phone calls sees me hopefully with either a booking for next year or I will just bloody buy an apartment at the "Best Western Panorama Resort" 1 Conrod Rd, Mt Panorama Bathurst.

Got all me little sausage fingers crossed.

Was supposed to be finished by this year, well that was last year's story anyway!

I had to work all day.... I still haven't seen even 1 bit of footage from the entire race.

So you can all go and drown, lucky sods......

While I was at work though, my brother just sent me this message.

"The drought has ended!"

That was enough for me, I was smiling ear to ear for the rest of the day. Go C.L, you good thing!

One observation I made while watching the race was that both Lowndes and Whincup hardly put a tyre wrong all day.

I grew up a Brocky fan ( the driver not his cars ) and when Lowndes came onto the scene it was intersting watching him be tutored/mentored by the man.

watching these two guys circulate, it was very interesting to see that they both were producing similar driving styles to brock.

it looks like the 'perfect' aspect of peter was taught to lowndes, and maybe he has passed some of that on to whincup..
