My 06 BF XR6T also has the factory installed rough idle.

I raised it at my complimentary service and was told there was no problem.

I often get told that there is no problem.. like when my exhaust or something back there would knock and make noise around corners... "nothing we can do mate" hmm, funny that... because the exhaust shop seemed to fix it when they replaced my centre muffler

Seems to be a strange thing with this rough idle, as the original test drive vehicle had it, but as I said before mine idles perfect. In fact it idles as good as the Nissan Skyline RB30 that I had years ago & they wouldn't knock the head off a beer.

Ok the eratic idle is a ball breaker but after getting the TPS changed and now the car stalling im not impressed. Will ford change the TPS again or new throttle body if I have mods to my car? Or is my warranty now void?

Thanx

Unfortunately FORD won't pay for any new parts to your engine if it is visable to them that it has been modified or if they try to flash your computer and find the stock maping is not what it should be! try taking back to your tuner and see if they can sort out the stalling, maybe even re-tune the maping.

By the way, what mods apart from the custom tune do you have?

just going over this one again because it is really starting to piss me off at the lights.

the idle hunts between 650 and 700 rpm and when braking up to a set of lights with the clutch in drops as low as 250 then jumps to 1k then back down again..

if it was an auto it would stall for sure.

checked the tb a month or so ago and its clean as a whistle.

any new ideas on this one people?

Dirty plugs, loose exhaust manifold... and get yout edit tuner to raise the idle up a fraction ( a quick test is to turn the aircon on as the idle will increase and smooth out )
