The recomended retail of the new standard SS is almost $2000 cheaper than an XR6T and almost $7000 cheaper than XR8.

Is this a bad thing?

I reckon the BA/BF is still a sexier car.

Remember the SS is now what the SV8 used to be, stripper spec and quicker...Kinda like what the old (VH's etc) SS"s used to be...

The difference is that the SS being new, there is little haggle room in them. The Ts being the under dog mean that there's a heap to be bargained with. I played 4 dealers off against each other and used the new SS, fuel issue and upcoming BFII to get nearly $10K off the list price of my BF.

Odd thing I've noticed is that I'm still not seeing too many new dunnydores on the road (plenty in the yards). In the past when a new dunnydore has been launched the road was flooded with them that week (I fondly remember seeing 4 broken down VTs on the side of the road in the first week of their launch).

My old mate Lumpy is spot on. The VE SS replaces the SV8, which was basically an executive with the 5.7, basic body kit and wheels. The SV8 was always priced under the T.

Does SV8 stand for sh*t V8? :spoton:

im yet to line one up but I know I can mince an ls1 with stock tune, would be interesting to see if the 6 litre is a sh*t v8. Driving the old mans senator though tells me they go pretty well

What am I thinking its a FUGGIN HOLDENT
