Its normal and theres nothing you can do about it. FPV and Ghia models still have the extra vents, why they deleted them is unknown, cost savings I assume.←You also have to ask yourself who cares? Having longer legs than the average person I certainly don't miss them as cold air blowing directly on to your knee meant that is was always shut off in any case. The next question posed is what happens when you take the plate off, is there still cold air coming out of there or have they been turned off further back in the dash? May be able to retro fit em if your really that desperate but I know what your local dealers going to say - I really dont think they are needed unless your into wearing a skirt and need to keep your *beep* cool.... The Territories dont have them so I miss out all together. Cost cutting exercise id say, probarly saves them $3.50 per car x 30,000 cars (as some still have it) is $105,000 a year!
