Hey guys,

Just a quick topic on nos anyone out there got it on there xr6t? I did a search on the forums and no one seems to have talked about it? Pros and cons of nos on a XR6T ?

honestly you don't need it with these cars, you can get enough boost down low with the turbo and top end wise, your bottom end with break before the turbo runs out of puff. NOS is good to get some more horsepower and to get some big turbo cars off the line harder and get the turbo to come on to the stall, when using a larget turbo on a small motor they can take a long time to boost to get onto the converter and by then the lights have gone green and you have been left for dead

Only recently I heard you must hold a dangerous goods certificate to use it here in NSW. Otherwise the EPA issue a massive fine for carrying a dangerous good.

So what is the law in regard to nitrous on the street, I thought it must be just turned off from the bottle, but was told only a few ago that the fuel lines from the bottle must be totally disconnected for street driving..

I used to run NOS on my swift and the bottle had to be disconnected completely, that is in victoria

It has changed now Heath no nos equipment must be installed at all in the car, I checked earlier this year.

really oh well. that was around 5 years ago. I had even been pulled up for it.
