In light of the abovementioned 'issues' and my lack of knowledge here, does anybody know where you can buy the BOV's and have them installed there too?

Do GFB install?

Cheers..

I don't think so as when I visited them, it seemed to be purely a factory without a shopfront. They don't sell over the counter, I had to visit them to get bits that were missing in my kit.

MRT certainly would fit it for you as they are a rally workshop, and as I said in my earlier post, they predominantly work on the Rex but would have no trouble fitting the BOV to a T.

Despite what you read above, it is an extremely easy thing to fit, about 20 minutes work with only two spanners and a pair of pliers... and swearing, and cussing, and questioning the marital status of parents of Ford engine bay designers!

Seriously, it is simple, you don't cut hoses and despite my arguments about fat fingers and inability to adjust it once it is in. I did a fair bit of adjusting tonight to mine and once you have washed the oil off your hands, you can actually rotate the ring with only a little difficulty. I have adjusted mine down to the second lowest setting as it scares the hell out of my passengers when it goes off. Sounds like a bloody freight train going past. :spoton:

Matrix, seeing that you are in Sydney, drop me a PM if you like and we can arrange to fit one to yours if you care. I am located Syd nth shore.

Still playing with the settings but started with mininum spring and slowly working up to see the differences. Only had it on a couple of days now. I like the half vent setting, a damn fine reminder that you have a turbo.

Must say though, the guys at GFB are awsome....I think it was brett I spoke too, I had a problem with the valve rattling against the hoses just above.....he pulled it off, grabbed and modified some hoses and stuck it back on again....AWSOME service :)

Yeah, I had Brett from GFB help me out with the correct fittings when MRT gave me the wrong kit. Excellent service from GFB.

Don't panic anyone, I now have the BOV on the right way

It was a tight fit and I had trouble adjusting the rings so I went to super cheap in search of hoses I could use and low and behold the bottom heater hose from a Datsun 120Y is a perfect fit!

It looks like it's in the same place as everybody's but the hoses are just a bit shorter to give me room to adjust it.

While I had it out, I got a GFB whistler trumpet for it and it sounds great. I am running about 12psi and it scares the old ladies that's for sure.

Yeah I got one of those two, but the std 6 psi the car is running isnt enough to give you a whistle, so I took it off :(
