Hence why I would like to move it in to the open spaces!

Basher, any idea if there is enough space between the bonnet and the the ductwork if you bring the BOV to the forward side of the ductwork (the HP side)? The 25mm hose should be easy enough to get hold of with approximately the correct bends etc, it is just a case of whether there is enough clearance with the lid closed. Suggested locations shown on the picture below.

Now, In its current location, I am by no means a fat bas*ard, nor do I have fat fingers but I will be damned if I can get in to rotate the ring on the BOV to change the settings. A new location would be nice!

God666, I have the same BOV as you, installed in the same place as yours except mine runs the opposite way along the fire wall with the rotation ring facing the passenger side of bonnet.

It is still a bit of a tight fit but it is out of the way and you can turn the ring in that position.

Repco had the hose in stock and that's how I got it to face that way. :spoton:

I am having trouble picturing how you have configured yours. Do you have any pics?

And do you know what the Repco part number was for the hose?

Cant see it all on your pic - and I don;t have a better pic one at hand - but this is where I want to put it. Plenty of room and easy to adjust.

Just cut out a section and replace with a shiny bit of SS pipe and have the fitting onto that.

Here is a pic of mine guys, there is enough clearance in this position to rotate the ring.

I took my hose down to Repco and showed it to them, sorry I don't have the part number.

I assume that your BOV is not the Stealth FX. The reason I make that statement is that the large base of the Stealth FX is where the high pressure (from turbo) feeds in and this is the hose that comes from the front part of the engine. The waste or plumb-back is the hose at the rear of the engine and that is the fitting on the Stealth FX that sits on the body next to the trumpet. Have a look at the picture attached for details.

From your photo, if it were a Stealth FX, you have fitted it incorrectly! Is there another BOV on the market that is adjustable?

Now I am confused :spoton:

OK so mine has been on upside down for the last 4 months :k24t:

Now I know why mine makes a turkey wobble sound instead of a psssst sound

Hmmm must look into that tomorrow.

Bugger,

That 'turkey wobble' is the high pressure gases forcing their way back past the spinning turbine blades because they have nowhere to go.

Unlikely to have done any long term damage to your turbo but if it had gone on for a long time, it would have resulted in air erosion to your turbine blades and possible bearing damage.

At least your BOV is still brand new as the piston won't have been doing any moving
