If so, aBOV is like a one-way device, there is no possible condition in which airwould actually go IN through the valve. Besides which, if you put a filteron it (some rally guys will to prevent dirt from getting into the movingparts) it kills the noise off completely, in which case you might as wellstick with the plumb back! Rest assured, if it needed a filter, we would fitone.Cheers,Brett TurnerEngineer/Technical SalesGo Fast Bits+612 9569 7648www.gofastbits.com.au This is not entirely true unless GFB have changed the spring pressures on their blow off valves. If the Blow off valves spring resistance against compression is not great enough at idle the Vacuum produced by the intake can overcome the pressure of the spring and force open the piston allowing air to enter the exhaust of the blow off valve. most blow off valves have adjustments as does my GFB Mach 1 to adjust the spring to stop the valve from opening at idle but still allow it to be responsive on decel. I think this is important if you are looking for peak performace as all engines are different. That said GFB is an excellent product.

First time Ford Australia has touched a turbo, we can't expect you to know too much. Say something interesting and not just refer to V8's on a turbo website!!!!!So last year was the first time that ford won a championbship for how many years....since allan moffat, sorry I can't remember. Finally Ford has a chance since they downgraded the Late model camira aerodynamics for the last 4 years to make the championship more 'exiting"! What's exciting about a ford winning? The fact that you1- I'm not you're mate. 2) I know plenty about this. 3) It's not the first time Ford Australia has touched a turbo. 4) Holden's losing is interesting. 5) Late model camira dynamics are just an Opel ripoff anyway. 6) STOP USING OUR DIFFS!!!!!!!! 7) Finish your sentences. I saw you and my smart-a$$ detector went off. If you're gunna hang smart remarks as a first post, your best bet is to not pick on the owner of this website. And stop using our toploader gearboxes. Mates building a VK with a stroker engine guess what ford nine inch. Mates VH SS ford toploader and Ford nine inch.

This SHOULD fix the common backfrie problem found when replacing a sotck plymback item for a atmospheirc vetning BOV correct? Wrong... after checking out a few of them fitted out on some fairly modified cars, we came to the conclusion that they weren't as good as the manufacturer states... there is still a backfire issue, casuing richness and puff's of black smoke on gearshift despite having the BOV set to about 40-60 which should allow enough air to bypass back into the intake system adn counterweight the fuel being dumped regardless. Very good concept I must admit, but not 100% satisfied with results yet. Pretty much teh same as any aftermarket BOV, which means a tune is needed to fix the richness on shift to compensate for the atmostpheric vent. Good to hear though its working for you. The backfires and flames from added fuel is only evident with cars fitted with vane air flow meters the T had a map sensor so doesn't suffer from this problem. Both the high pressure entry port and the plumb back exit port need to have a 25mm barbed fitting to suit the rubber hose on the XR6T. The universal BOV by default has a 30mm barbed fitting for the plumb back exit port and about a 50mm straight fitting on the HP side. The 30mm fitting can be screwed out and a 25mm one fitted and the base gets an 25mm barbed insert fitted and held with a grub screw.I originally came to grief as the supplier (MRT) was unfamiliar with the BA fittings. In essence, the inlet and outlet need to be 25mm barbed fittings. That is all.It is a tight fit to get it in and it makes it easier if you get a longer 4mm vacuum hose (I think it is 4mm). The one that is on the car is just a little short.Cheers,Gary

I dont know whether they would have the fittings there? Or can you get the fittings from somewhere else?
