Great stuff Dave, that's an awesome result. You must be over the moon.

What plans do you have for the future and what are your future goals.

Also, any advice for those that want to follow in your footsteps. Alot of the guys on the forum would appreciate any tips you may be able to share to get in to the 10's.

that equates to a very good start, there has been 1 other that ran 10.9 at 124mph and that was C and V car

Just to clarify this C&V (on 14/2/04) ran a 10.98, 124.87 mph, and with slicks, and claimed an unopened motor. From memory they also had a 1.6 60 foot.

You have 10.95, and 124.6 mph, so that definitely puts you ahead.

thanks Craig, I am over the moon.

I would like to thank some people that have helped me on the way(no sponsers unfortuneitly)

Criss, Bluepower

Simon & Dave Nizpro

Nick the Wog

Martin Capa

Jay Contor for talking me into buying the software, and helping me pay for it.

some have helped just because of there passion to, thanks :smilielol:

and also some of you, for finding the limits of some of these parts, to give me some boundry's to work within.

so I guess it was a bit of a team effort (a bit like the Bronco's thumping the storm lol)

the other thing I would like to say, is just because I got a car into the tens, does not make me a top level tunner, I think we would be selling them short, by saying some one on the side of the road with a lap top, and a Gtech, even compares to the top level tunners that have invested time and money, and years of experience

into tunning cars. I can be proud of what I have done, but my feet is on the ground.

I will go though the things I have done with this car later, so someone can come out and smash this record, these cars are going to go a lot faster then this with standed motor beleive me.

I am still amased that these standed parts, like stock auto, stock motor, stock diff, can hold together in such a heavy car so well, and come out the other side, still feeling like new.

I hope to come down and meet some of you, some time, but I will give a quick rundown of who I am,

my trade is a house painter, but I work at a coal mine now as a servicemen.

I have allway's loved modifying motors to make them go quicker, whether it be boats, bikes, cars, or mowers,

and have moved into tunning these cars, because no one else up here seemed interested at the time,

have enjoyed this journey, up till now,

where do I go next, well my plan was to drop a second per year, and so far I am on target, but the hill seems to look a bit steeper from now on.

WOW! ... Amazing stuff. You have one true tough street machine and to be able to do it up there it that climate is even more impressive.

I like your attitide to share information and help the rest of us XR6T enthusiasts to reach some goals.

You have just made me even keener to crack the 10s mark. I will have to have a chat to you about how to get my 60' down ...

Congrats Dave ...

Well done mate, it is great to see. I think I have broken enough components for the both of us so you are have a great run without breaking things lol.

The is a great time in your climate with the setup of the car, having done many runs myself, you know in your gut if the car has anything left in it. Do you think it was close to the best run you can do with the car in the current trim?

Congrats once again,

Dean
