Ok im told by a source at FoMoCo that in the future the turbos on our beloved cars will be downsized due to the fact that ford are sick of the warrenty claims associated with people modiying the cars and making extra power ect. Told that the smaller turbos will only allow the motor to produce 300kw at the motor.

Can anyone confirm this for me at all

Surely though, Ford would just deny warranty claims if that was the case.

would be a bad move... considering what Expensive Daewoo has just brought out... such a move would only cost fomoco sales

I wouldnt think so, there is more then just a simple choice as to why the turbo sizing was used in the first place.

Makes sense though, why would the tight arses over-engineer a product? The bean counters have obviously figured out they can do the same with less.

Yes its that which makes me think hang on a minute, I remember when they developed the car in the first place that they used such a big turbo for a reason.

Why would they change it? Why wouldnt someone just put a different turbo from a BA/BF onto it?

Just doesnt all add up to me

A smaller one would boost quicker, and still provide the top end required. Why not indeed.??
