I'll be taking the XR6T plunge very soon and am currently looking at finance options. I have my regular finance dude who has given me some great numbers and another who is chasing my business whose numbers are similar. My brother suggested that Ford Credit is the way to go. Just walk in and sign on the dotted line and all else is taken care of.

This will be my 4th Ford from the same dealer and the 3rd XR6. Will that help me in any way ?

Has anyone else used Ford Credit ???

Thanks in advance.

I used Ford Credit for both my Explorers (the current one and the old one), but am moving over to a managed lease for the XR6. They're fine -- neither overwhelmingly good nor bad.

They handled the write-off of my previous Explorer excellently after I hit a kangaroo at 110km/hour at 1am ... between them and CGU Insurance, I was in a new Explorer in about 2.5 weeks.

If their price is about the same, I'd recommend them as being pretty easy to deal with. I know my dealer is currently using AGC and St. George Vehicle Finance over Ford Credit, which is another reason why I went with my own finance this time (I don't like AGC at all).

I'm looking at Ford Leasing (Credit) for a novated lease on a new BA XR8 next year. From my investigations so far, they seem quite reasonable. Ultimately though, the combination of interest rate and features will sway me.

I'm switching to Prosperion for the XR6: The fully managed lease is great. I don't even have to worry about making payments, as its all automatic. Don't have to worry about fuel, servicing, tyres, insurance -- its all taken care of. They're even paying for the custom plates! :)

Yep,

l used them for a short time when we were between houses and so didnt have a morgtage to use as security.

Once we bought a house, we had the bank use our house as security and setup a seperate loan number (for tax purposes). We could this way get the money at 6% instead of 9%. If you refinance Ford Credit will hit you with early repayment fees also.

But there ok, l didnt have any problems with them.
