Then answer is fairly straightforward.

The edit software has a switch in one of the tables to either keep adaptive learning on, or switch it off.  It is up to the tuner/customer to determine which way they wish to proceed.

Mine's off.

If that's the case...mine is DEFINATELY on. Mine was custom tuned about 6 months ago and the power has deteriorated badly over that time.

Yesterday I flashed it back to standard...took it for a burst...no power differnence than if it had the (6 mth old) 10 psi tune. Re-flashed the 10psi tune and whoa. Even my neigbour in the passenger seat said @#$% that made a difference.

Cheers

That sounds like it's on FatBat.

You'll be able to tell the difference doing exactly that, particularly if the car is a daily driver which is in traffic most of the time.

Yeah my car is driven by my wife 90% of the time (in traffic). Well Newcastle traffic where peak "hour" lasts for only 5 minutes but its still traffic I guess.

I have talked to Muzza and will be getting a better tune than I have through RX Engineering at Thornton before the next dyno day.

Cheers

Muzza and Eugene will look after you. :spoton:

They'll turn the self learn off as well.

really good question :stirthepot:

still have heard nothing from the tuners though.......

this tuner had not seen this thread before but its obvious he has well educated his customers

thanks raphoon for answering the questions more diligently than most tuners would have!

just a further note the factory set the adaptive learning parameters to suit epa and performance reduction for warranty issues more so that best performance!

So to keep my car hard I have to not let my Mrs drive it (as she drives very conservativly)?

That explains when I drive it for long periods it feels harder. but I have to switch it off and back on again at the end of the trip for it to happen. Is this true?

Wog is the self learning switched on or off usually in tunes?

When I put the factory tune back in the car it seems to only boost to 2 psi but after a few days it begins to go up. This happens with the tunes aswell.

Am I dreaming or can this happen?

IS it related to what we are talking about here??
