A mate of mine and I went and checked out the new VE Senator today and I must say FPV will have their work cut out. This thing is classy but tuff looking and a very tempting proposition. It was interesting to see that the Senator came with 275/19 rears and 245/19's on the front...they certainly filled ourt the guards nicely.

Decent wheels - helps 'em get good 0-100 numbers. Fords have always been povvo in the wheel department.

But the thing with Force 6 and 8 is, for next to no development dollars, they get two new models to launch, to take some of the media attention away from General Motors launch, to take some sales away from HSV, to develop a new (for Ford) luxury/performance segment, to replace the LWB models, and to keep the pot boiling 'till the new platform is launched in a couple years. Ford /FPV are getting an awful lot for not a lot of money.

Does anyone know any news on the new FPV's....?

Went to my local dealer on Friday and they still had no information. Talk about a well kept secret.

They'll unveil to public at the Sydney Motor Show. Last year my brother and I travelled upto Syd to see the BF FPVs. He ended up buying a GT, and I an F6.

Theres an 'FPV customer' launch happening some time, I wouldn't know though, never got the invite...

Wouldn't say "well-kept secret", more along the lines of 98% of dealers not having a clue about what they are selling to begin with.

Having seen pics of these things now, I'd be removing those 'Force badges on a hurry'. Everything else works IMO, though I'd be staying well away from the 'optional' red leather colour, and just getting the standard 'charcoal' coloured leather seats.
