K&n Filter

A recent test in Autosalon magazine that compared air filters rated the K&N Air filter as one of the best filters in relation to the 10 or so that they tested. They made up a test based on FLOW and FILTRATION and it came in best or 1st in Filtration and 4th in terms of overall flow. They used a pod filter for the test (I am assuming that since the pic in the mag is a pod) but rated it quite highly.

Buy the magazine to read it yourself, but have been reading it for over 2 years and the results seem spot on. Incidentally a brand called 3A racing filters came in first overall.

ive been using K&N filters in my race car for years, both oil and air filters and when the motor was pulled down due to spinning a bearing (standard bearings after 2 years of solid abuse to 9000 rpm) the inside of the motor was clean as and I could even use my apex seals again as they had little wear (yes its a chook cooker ) so I can only assume they the air filter was doing its job quite well, hence I have fitted a K&N panel into the ford.
