The EFI place should know better and would also know that fuel line cannot be submersed in fuel.

thanks for that adam.. that was part of the reason I had a place in sydney fit the hose and pump in for me.. what a waste of $100 ..question wouldnt they have known that the fuel pumps is submerged in petrol.. wtf :spoton:

Gates submersable fuel line is $60/300mm and that's how it is sold .

EFI fule hose is not made to be used in tank submersied in fuel.

Take it back get them to fix it .

spoke to the efi place that had installed my pump and they will fix the problem as they claim that they did use a submersible fuel line ... I no it may sound like a silly question but do brand names help when buying.. As rboksic has said to get a Gates submersible fuel line...

had the new fuel pump and intank line installed as per posts.,. car was running rough for the last couple of weeks. I thought that it may have been the new tune that was supplied to me... I uploaded the factory tune back in and then re-loaded the 13psi tune back in.. the car still ran the same :spoton: .. I thought that it might have been the tune so I posted a topic and was told to cheak all the turbo hoses and intercooler pipes.. I replaced a silicone boot on the turbo and then went for a test drive and the car still ran :spit: ,... decided to look at most recent mod that I have done and that was the fuel pump... I pulled the pump out and there it was... a large split on the submergable fuel hose which cost me $350 to fit and install after I had the car towed for 25km to my oldies house...
