I took my car out for a cruise on some back roads and fell in love with it all over again. So my question is what are your favourite pieces of road for a good oll cruise, that makes you love your T?For me today I went out toSamford and across to Mount Mee, and to Cabolture back to Brissy. One up and gave it a bit and it felt great.Scotty←Instead of going through Caboolture Scotty, come back via Mt Nebo and Dayborough - not a straight road in sight! Did not want to drive back over the same road, and wanted a pie from Humble pies. Stuffed up though and came out south of them on the freeway.Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm Humble Pies.Scotty

IMO the falcon handles like a bucket of bolts compared to my previous cars (cept the jeep) so my favourite piece of black top would just be a nice straight rd that a lot of other fast paced hoons congregate on ←Can't you read Don't really think this king of cr*p was what Scotty was looking for

The bits with curves anyway. Not the 20-30 km west of the Colo bridge though. My absolute fave is the Gillies Hwy. Up or down. It's just a cracker cept if the passenger is a bit sus on the travel sickness. 130 consecutive left right turns. Ya canna beat it.

Also in a Corolla, The cold air and a T woyuld be fantastic, especially as those guys dont have the same EPA restrictions we do.Scotty

What I meant was go through Samford (chuck a left, not a right at the roundabout) and go up over whatever mountain that is. Then past Summerset Dam to Kilcoy, chuck a right at the hippy place this side of Woodford and then back through Dayborough.See - clear as mud

Posted 21/09/06 11:46 PM Share Posted 21/09/06 11:46 PM Mate not familiar with that bit of road, where is it?Scotty←kangaroo valley maquarie pass is between Nowra and Albion park Nsw.. Wollongong way..Royal national park is between Sutherland (Sydney) and Wollongong..Rob←MMM 2 of my favourites. Even goin thru jamberoo in those areas, thru the mountain roads. just have to watch for cars coming around hairpins in the middle of the road .Another place I like if any1 from sydney knows is the "new sth head road" that goes up 2 vaucluse and watsons bay. problem is rough surface and always cops coming other way trying 2 catch the porsches n ferraris speeding there. other than that great fun...
