There's no other way to put it. Just amazing. It's much quieter and and more comfortable. Turns in faster. Corners flat, and faster. The tail doesn't skip on imperfections in fast corners. The harshness has gone from the ride. It's a total transformation. Now I feel like I can really start to use the power.I put KYB shocks, low springs and stiffer swaybars on my AU Fairmont Ghia and the difference there was tremendous. But I would NOT have believed the amount of difference the Bilsteins make to the Bf. It makes me wonder how the motoring press journalists could have been so enthusiatic and flattering about the F6's ride and handling, when a relatively small investment can make it an order of magnitude better. It would have been a small extra cost for FPV to have gone with Bilsteins or their equivalent instead of the soft and uncontrolled Monroe set up. But it would have utterly transformed the driving experience and catapulted every journo straight into heaven. Now I feel like I own sports car instead of a fast sedan. B*gger this typing. Im going out for another drive!pig"only the subdivisions still think it's a premier brand (benz), but they remain good for towing your airstream to the next trailer park in dallas and showing off to your stripper." Now I sell my original f6 shocks and it'll work out at less than a grand for the most amazing transformation. It's a different car. The guy that fitted them was so impressed he's ordered a set for his GTP (true blue and he says he'll always do a deal for Ford drivers). This made a huge difference tot he car's turnin and body roll. My car is transformed and feels much more nimble than the whale it used to feel like. I have Koni's, so I can appreciate what you are saying, mainly rear shockies let the cars handling down.

jordak Member 1,226 Member For: 20y 8m 16d Posted 15/09/06 05:08 AM Share Posted 15/09/06 05:08 AM Well that's $1,200 you've just cost me Did the swaybars a couple of years back now and have been thinking about doing the shocks of late. Struggled to justify $2,500ish for Teins given I don't track it, but this sounds like a viable option. ZAP, what made the more impressive difference, the swaybars or the Koni's, or did you do them @ the same time?

I recommend them to anyone that wants to corner better than a taxi.RegardsM G

They guy from Fulcrum said 30mm is the way to go. What advantage/disadvantage is there in going to 30mm?There is also an adjustable one for the same price as the 30mm. And I wouldn't know where to begin in terms of track days. I figgered, first, I'll set it up nice (I'll have a big think about that 27 or 30mm swaybar) then do the FPV track day, then maybe an advanced day, and sort of take it from there, organically. Drifting looks interesting. Any advice for an un-tracked pig? porcus noir
