255 if you can get a tyre in that width.

245's are better as they are less pront to sidewall flex and designed to fit the 8" rim

I talked to a tyre shop the other day and he said I could fit 275s on the back with the 8" rim. Ive had 265s on them and they fitted alright but I think 275s are a bit wide I was hoping someone has fitted this width of tyre before.

Mate, I have 275/30-20's on the back of my sedan on 9.5" wide wheels. You need a little guard rolling to fit. Not sure about the utes though.

Whats the widest tyre you can fit on the rear of a Tornado with standard F6 18s?

From memory, you can leagally go up one size. (Cro can you confirm this)

I've fitted 255/40/18's on mine.

If it’s a Manual and you want longer legs in 4th for the ¼ mile then the obvious choice would be:

Toyo Proxes T1R

255/45ZR18

Rim size 8.0-9.0-9.5

OD=27”

Width=9.8”

769 revolutions per klm

STD tire from FPV is @

Dunlops sports 9000

245/40/18

Rim size 8.0

OD=25.6”

Width=@ 9.6”

811 revolutions per klm

You go for a wider tire but less diameter and squeeze it onto a 8” rim:

Toyo Proxes T1R

245/40ZR18

Rim size 8.5-9.0-10

OD=25.9”

Width=10.2”

801 revolutions per klm

For 19” like I have my choice would be”

Toyo Proxes T1R

255/40ZR19

Rim size 8.5-9.0-10

OD=27”

Width=10.2”

770 revolutions per klm
