APS make high quality components, but be careful.

You cannot buy parts of the kits separately.

For example, for whatever reason, if you needed a centre muffler out of the APS exhaust, bad luck, you have to buy a complete new exhaust. $2k thanks! :spoton:

And for another example, one that I am currently stuck in, the silicon hoses that form the APS front munt intercooler kit are not availaible separately, so in order to buy a $50 hose, you need to purchase the full kit, which will empty your wallet by about $1900. Seems fair and resonable? Hell no! :censored:

Certain APS components, teamed with the Edit, are giving excellent results. Just make sure that you dont need any replacement parts. :spoton:

hey guys, can yous give me a little more info on this ADR compliance, is this just for emissions testing, and what exactly is it, and does it cost extra, how does this differ from a full engineers report? Are these kits 100% legal and can the car still get defected, then I have to prove to (Regency in Adelaide, SA) that my car is still compliant. Thanks guys, just a little more info would be great!

Emissions and DB ratings of the exhaust I imagine. The APS kits are street legal and wont be defected unless you put a different BOV that vents atmospherically.

I am happy with my APS gear setup, soon to be finished off to a phase 3 level I used edit with mine.

Also APS exhaust systems are available on there own from Autotech, it has enough clearance for the wider ZF 6 speed auto.

Sorry for the REALLY dumb question... sort of new to the turbo seen (v8 driver). I'm fine with the whole edit thing, but whats the go with the UniChip computer ? it comes with pre-loaded custom maps so it's just plug and play with no need for a tuner ? or do you still need to take it in to be tuned ?

And the edit is similar just that it's an exact tune to suite your car on the dyno ?

The unichip needs to be tuned by a tuner and it intercepts the factory signals and tricks it.

The EDIT lets the tuner change the factory maps settings and lets you have 3 seperate maps in your box that you can reload when you want.

Okay thanks guys,

So does the APS kit come with a certificate or something stating this so that there is no troubles with legalities..

Thanks! Sound very tempting for the F6, but an edit would change this anyway, but as a kit, would just like to know what my options are..

Disco, the unichip was used before the edit box was designed.

the edit is better only as it allows control over far more parameters than the unichip.

unichip is great in its usefull range, but looses out to the purpopse built edit.

have you finaly gotten out of teh POX commodes?
