Like Orrie... just ordered an 6 Sp Seq Octane BFII T with lux pack and lord knows what else - including power pedals for the vertically challenged SWMBO.

No dealer info on drive train changes was available as of Friday late... so stay tuned. Still. Zzzzzz. Wake up Ford - it's called drip feed. But 260 would be a nice start!

Vehicle delivery will by 3rd week of October.... last T to get me through to the next model. Report and photo's after that....

How much are you guys going to be kicking yourself if the ZF diffs aren't put into the BFII and kept for the new model?

LOL. Don't really care Adam, but you're right... wouldn't that be 'noice'. The plan is for this T will go back to the dealer when the new one hits the deck in 08 (?). Amazing the "helpfullness" from some dealers now that the VE has graced us with it's fat A Pillar...

Still - will be interesting, won't it.... . Any power increase would be a welcome bonus to those of good faith in the Blue Oval (yes, that was a grovel....).

Next task: get used to the Octane Orange. New sunnies ordered. :dontknow:

Grrrrrrrrr. If BF 11 or 3 or even 4 or whatever gets 265KW. I wont be happy with me BF Mk 1. Too much stuffing around I say.

who cares about an extra 20kw's at the fly wheel when a basic edit will give you far more than that straight out of the box?? then you spend the extra $500 on a custom tune and you will wonder why you ever cared at all about the new model having 20kws more :spoton::nono:

and just to keep the thread on topic, I cant see them bumping the power up again for the XR6T when they have just done in for the BF. the F6 is due though.

Mate if they do bump up the power then there can only be benifits. Either stronger pieces, or a knowledge that these things stock can handle more power.

For those that missed it - last official line from Ford a month ago.....

Interesting marketing strategy. A new Expensive Daewoo hits the deck, and the major head to head competitor does one press release in a month. Which University is that one from? Is the story really THAT bad??
