Not many other brands out there where a $55K car will be lucky to get $20K in 3-4 years.I haven't had by BF for 2 weeks, and while I admit getting a good deal because of the upcomming BF2 (as well as fuel prices and the new Dunnydore), I went for it because I was assured by Ford that the BF2 XRs weren't going to change other than some new colours. When you think about it, the XR6 T has no Expensive Daewoo competitor so Ford is more likely to look elsewhere for improvements. However, hopefully FPV do something to tweak the F6's, the XRT got an extra 5 kw and 30nm in Ba-Bf, and the F6's stayed the same so I think its the F6s turn for an extra 5kw and 30nm... The V8s are quite a fair margin behind the E series now too, and coz ford quote their figures in DIN, it looks even worse on paper for them as they now need to do ECE, maybe they will just keep the 290, but quote in ECE now instead of DIN. Something ford would do anyway, that way they wouldnt have to change the stickers on the bulges, and on the air intakes inside the engine bay.. ←I don't think you can quote in ECE, Expensive Daewoo now use DIN also. Because I am looking at a brand new Ve Late model camira brochure (Hard copy) and it says the SS has 270kw* and the * means that the maximum figures are quoted as per ECE regulations. I have however just visited the hsv web site, and their 307kw is done using the DIN figure.. http://www.hsv.com.au/index_eseries.asp then click on the GTS pic, then specs then the performance.. IS holden's performance brand trying to "get more power" just by quoting in DIN?? Busted! Let us know what ya all think.. tur Flight 6 Member 471 Member For: 21y 4m 8d Posted 07/09/06 08:53 AM Author Share Posted 07/09/06 08:53 AM More Info, xr6 turbo engine to have same internals as f6 but no oil cooler. This is due to ineffiencies on the line at FORD, so engine will have the stronger rods.

Still do not know final prices but was told that there was no real changes to the XR series as they were selling well anyway. Would be nice to get the extra Kw's but I am sure it is just BS
DaveO Member 250 Member For: 21y 2m 7d Location: City Posted 09/09/06 10:31 AM Share Posted 09/09/06 10:31 AM Talking to an FPV dealer today, he said that they are not taking orders on the V8s anymore but they are still taking it on the 6's. This could mean that a new V8 (higher performance) is in the works for the BF MKII's.
