xr6t= 260kw

xr8=280 kw

f6=295kw

Gt-GTP 320kw

Dont know how good this source is, said they were debriefed this week on it at ford.

Orion rumoured 5.4 super charged. 600NM 350KW likely to be called F8, Engine was going to go in BF but arse end not strong enough for power of engine. WIth all the new reenforments the orion will handle it.

Hope your right but I seriously doubt it.

Why. The VE's are much quicker than the VZ's apart from being infinitely better cars. Ford would be crazy not to bump the power outputs up and those numbers make a lot of sense. It has to do something to get through the next 18 months. Afterall on the turbos it'll prpbably take them all of 30 minutes to get that power and get it reliably.

Because BF Mk2 is a minor update and ford have a history of leaving major engine power upgrades for new model cycles. I wouldn't expect anything major until orion.

Nice way to shoot themselves in both feet. Don't forget VZ was still outselling BF and VE will lap the field. These are no ordinary times for the large car makers. They need to ride the VE wave until Orion. Don't forget VE II gets direct injection on the V6 as well as 6spd auto, so it only gets worse. Will they release a BF III with again cosmetic window dressing, while Expensive Daewoo still has plenty up it's sleeve.

C'mon FORD,

I hope the BF MkII does come out with the numbers that 'tur' has mentioned. Although in past years, the changes in engine output have only been slight.

Power/Performance ain't everything, handling, fuel consumption....blah blah blah. This is a tit for tat squabble between Expensive Daewoo and Ford, evident with either brands their performance vehicles, it has and will always be.

Ford will be shooting themselves in the foot if they fail to better, or at least match the performance specs (performance not power output) of the new Holden/HSV VE vehicles. :censored:

After so many years of (so shoot me for saying this) playing catch up to Holden, the BA series and continues by the BF, put them back on the same page. Ford have access to some game breaking technology, available courtesy of the 'Global Shared Technologies' agreement and to let Expensive Daewoo get to way out in front again, after the last 4 years, will see the Blue Oval back refamiliarising itself with an era thought to be over.
