Twin Turbo kits are the way to go for the Holdens be it VT or VE......and at around $7k its a pretty low price to pay for over 400rwkw.

There is no replacement for displacement AND BOOST :spoton:

that's what I was going to say.Chuck on a turbo or twins and they can make 400rwkw on like 9psi easy.My mate had a blown LS1 VT which made 440rwkw on 11psi.Totally smoked my car on the street and was an everyday driver

Yeh... Bolt a TT on an LS1 in your garage one sunday arvo and drive out no problems...

Never seen it done below 15 - 20 grand.....

The kit might costs 7 or 8 then you gotta make it fit... Then you need a tuner, exhaust mods, intake mods...(woops smoked the clutch first time I drove it mods) .. Anyone know anyone that has blown an LS1 for less than 15 grand?????

Blonksta,

It appears that you and I have created a bit of a stir over at LS1.

I really don't give a crap either way, but isn't it funny how every sub 25 year old with a commie seems to have smoked a Typhoon or 2. :spoton: And boosted ones at that. :spoton:

NFI :msm:

Guys don't get me wrong, we are not living in our own planets thinking we are driving the best creations ever, nor am I saying we have the fastest cars on offer, I'm talking about the guys who drive V8's from the Expensive Daewoo clan that are out to get the Ford guys, the one's that try and run you and then do a quick drive past and get pulled over by the boys in blue up the road.

I love my V8's and will probably want to drive a Ford V8 one day preferably a classic Mustang similar to the one on Overhaulin which was off the richter scale..

I for one would love to sit in a V8 TT which seems to be the best of both worlds...

Especially if Ford do build or enhance the current V8 and have the capacity for a TT now that would be the talk of the town...

As for negative feedback re the E Series for example my uncle drove the (SS or Bogan special can't remember) he has a VZ Calais with the LS1 all stock and he didn't think there was a huge difference in drivability and he was a little disappointed with the perfromance in the auto.

I know it's far from the performance side, but has anyone had a good look at the interior or sit in the VE? A guy at work bought an SV6 and it has 1992 Camry seats in it. Flat as anything and no bolstering. I don't know why Expensive Daewoo do that to their customers. Sh!t!

I used to drive a modded AU and everyone wanted to have a go. Now, in the typhoon, everyone leaves me alone, except ss ute drivers. For some reason ss ute drivers seem to get a bit hysterical near the typhoon and do stupid things, like launch before the lights change. And a couple of weeks ago, one was sooo anxious to blast past and then cut in front of me for a left turn, he nearly took out a Suzuki Swift. Truth is, I didn't even see him till he pulled in in front and then locked up to avoid the Swift. Yessiree, typhoons seem to have a strange effect on ss ute drivers.

haha mate I get the exact same thing!!

Clubbies, monaros etc ignore me but SS utes and Maloos ALWAYS want to have a run!!

Yes I did my Single Turbo LS1 for less than 15 grand...much less. Made 417rwkw too :)

TT Kits are being done for less than $10k drive in and drive out now.

As for clutch, etc......you have to do that as soon as you tune it anyway coz they are so bad.....hang on so are the standard XR6T clutches :spoton:
