Guys,

Just having a quick squiz at the LS1 forum and just wanted make the quick remark about the fact that we should count ourselves lucky to be able to afford drive daily such a wonderful car and made a wise decision to buy an F6.

A refreshing reminder that we drive arguably the best cars under 150K in Oz.

Didn't realise how much respect the car had from the boys at LS1.

PS. If only some the ignorant ones sat in moded phoon or even a stock phoon for that matter....

Is interesting reading, but I think they (LS1) are hoping the new HSV line is the comeback... Based on the performance figures released from Expensive Daewoo it is going to be a very worthy contender..

Hope it makes Ford pull there heads in and do something with the 8 then unleash the 6.....

Time will tell

yeh a lot of them do seem to have some respect for the ford blown six, but as always theres a few who will refuse to acknowledge a ford 6 is better than their 6 litre V8...

I had a good look at the new Late model camira Bogan special today and was quite impressed - finish and fit seems slightly ahead of the BA/BF and its lightyears ahead of the VZ.. but it has a very astra look about it !

I guess time will tell as to whether it matches holdens performance claims or not

Ive spoken to alot of LS1 owners at the drags and they were blown away when they asked what my car ran down the 1/4.There next question would be if im running a bigger turbo. When I told them that it is only mildly modified, they then couldnt believe the potential of the boosted 6.It has turned alot from the darkside to the blue oval.

I've owned an SS and Senator, both sounded great but there's nothing like BOOST!

Lots of sound but not much go to back it up.

Before I bought the Phoon I walked in there I told the HSV guys I was ready to do a deal on the day but wanted to drive their GTO Coupe. The HSV guys with their noses in the air saying ''mate lets do the deal first and then you can test drive the car'' I laughed at them reminding them I had bought an SS and a Senator from them but they thought their cars were too precious and weren't ready for an enthusiastic test drive so drove to Ford and test drove a Phoon 'wow' then made an order.

Maybe I should Thank the HSV boys because that was the best thing they could've done for me. Thanks to them I have a much better car.

As a new Phoon owner and a moderator on ls1.com.au most people on there have respect for all cars just like here, however like every forum there are often those that walk around with only one eye open and cant see past the badge on the front of the car

The Expensive Daewoo brigade are hoping for big things from the VE and from what I have seen so far they will probably get it, its a good package.

In effect the Ford camp are competing with a whole new platform versus in essence what is a 2002 styled and specced car :spoton:

Orion should be only a year away so save your coin and don't waste money on a BF2, as resale will be sh*t come October next year.

The VE is a formidable foe to the current Ford line up, particilarly the V8s.It would be a fool to write off the VE as there is no doubt continuing significant above the line support to drive sales, hence taking potential switchers out of the market for the BF2 and potentially diluting sales from Orion as well.
