very true.. I supprised this hasn't come back into focus 2 weeks earlier!

I would love to tig myself up a plenum.. but I imagine its alot more work than gettin the bottom half and making stuff to fit to that.. a whole lot more!

are still running yours?

did u find alot better throttle respones with the shorter pipework?

I figure that is one of the major gains.

F6 UTE you obviously know much more about plenum/airflow than myself and all of what you said makes sense. I'm just wondering how the air flows through a front fed plenum when not making major boost, I.e. low rpm etc I've just read a couple of articles about all chambers not getting equal airflow, for example during low rpm the front cylinders get more air and under high rpm/high boost the rear cylinders get more air. Any merit to this?

I'm just eager to learn and make the right choices with my induction setup!

Air feed to rear cylinders off boost is helped by tapering the rear of the plenum, there is a formula for this, and it provides equal flow to all cylinders. The pcm also monitors afr's to each cylinder and alters injector pulse to suit.

My plenum worked exceptionally well, gaining 45rwkw with 4spi less boost peak, with higher gains through the midrange... I should take some 'propper' piks.

On the road, from 2000rpm the surge of torque is a massive improvement. Tyres are turning in 3rd gear before 3800rpm is on the dial.. I hardly find myself revving over 4500rpm, on the road. I run NO bov, aka the Nizpro setup also..

Throttle response?? well lag, what's that??

I can tonker around at 1500rpm in 4th and the car doesn't shudder or cough. ( not that I hardly do it, but she will do it!..)

How does the PCM know the afrs of one individual cylinder with only on hego sensor? you running 7(?) hego sensors Ben..?

Im thinking about going back to no BOV. The only think that puts me off is the sounds of the turkey orgy is a hell of a lot louder and lasts a hell of a lot longer with out the bov..... :spoton:

Firing order.

Althought, the sensor only adjusts the stft and ltft trims.. It works in banks. Not individual cylinder trims. Although the 6 cylinder only has 1 bank, unlike a V8, which has 2 banks.

So sorry, it doesnt adjust fuel individually based on cylinder :roflmbo:

I actually think it was your 'mate' that told me. You know the guy, he tought you how to set boost duty cycles or whatever it is to maintaitn preset boost irrelivent of air temps. Same guy that blew a ringland on his Auto F6 from detonation......... from his own tuning :original:

Now there's some :blink::P
