Guest Guests Posted 10/09/06 04:14 AM Share Posted 10/09/06 04:14 AM I'd like to see Nizpros 27hp increase from their plenum independently tested.dw....it is posible but with tuning and with a loss of bottom end torqueThe E series Falcon have both the broadband manifold on the EF onwards and the single band manifold from EA to ED. Both give very similar peak power. dw....must disagree dual runner ef makes more across the board ask badxr6 evenThis has been shown many times over. The single band manifold has some similarity in design to what Nizpro have on offer. Ford may not always do things because of cost/time restraints but I certainly believe if there was a 27hp increase from a manifold, Ford would want to hear about it and use it in their production engine.dw....ford engineers are not as dumb as we make them look they have other focuses to look at other than power or economy like epa reliability of the whole car and acountants!←I can see your points though and can understand where you are coming from

BUT it requires too much moving of stuff to make it happen for alot ( majority ) of people.. PCM and ABS are not easily moved by DIY'ers.Nitto, Yet to see results, but imo, no good for BA engine design. Seems it lacks low down torque.other aftermarket- one 'solution' will be tested within a week, the other within a fortnight..I now have the cooler fitted which will provide more consistency between results, and provides pipework location to administer the tests..The turbo sh!tting it's-self put me back a few/several weeks, as that wasn't a bolt in affair, and needed some 'engineering'..... .... I have a 3D CAD table saw setup too.Mr CNC Die grinder, and Mrs CNC Jigsaw will get a work out tomorrow, then it's pretty much done ( on my part ).. This is the best you'll get.. I have the bits all done, except for the base flange section. I'll tackle that tomorrow but that alone will take me a few hours with the rounding and smoothing I need to do. Then I'll drop it to get tigged, that might take a week, then get it back, clean it up and get the flange sections licked square, give it a test dyno run on some low boost and if it works, paint it up.. The new compressor cover / intercooler / pipework setup has given me a bit of lag. Well, more than a bit, prob 600rpm's worth.. I'm down a stack of power to 4000rpm aswell. This was evident today when I did some testing, and last week when Simon did a tune for me, and it showed at the drags with the 12.1 @ 119 mph for 351rwkw bogging severely off the line. I hope the plenum will bring it back to better than stock, and if not, I'll turf the .70 cover and drop the .50 back on. Problem is, the engine is now on song till 6000rpm at least... It's still going hard, with no sign of power dropping..!!!
