I bet he was doing something stupid to the poor stingray...

"Let's see what this Stingray does when I put my thumb up his butt....Crickey, he got me good"

RIP Steve

I feel sorry for Bindi and Bob who will not get to know their crazy father like the rest of the world has

I was never a big fan of Steve's style, but there is no doubt that his heart was in the right place, so it saddens me to hear of his death, and my heart goes out to his wife and kids

Certainly did a huge amount of work to preserve animals, and to further the understanding of 'dangerous' animals, and he will be missed by his many fans around the word.

RIP Steve

He may have done it in a grating way at times, but he certainly raised awareness of our native wildlife for both International and Australian peoples.

Heartfelt Condolences to all friends and family.

I haven't been so surprised or shocked at the death of a well known personality since Diana.

I was shocked, and saddened by it. A truely sad day for Australia and the world that knew him.

the sunshine coast is reeling over the loss of our local icon.

and it was only fathers day yesterday

he has done so much for the local area and is well known to be doing his thing like any other bloke and was just as hypo when out surfing with the locals.

The kids at the local school crossing this arvo are shattered, so many have been on excursions to his zoo or even had The crocodile man in their class rooms learning about native animals and hearing his great stories.

deepest sympathies to the family, friends and co-workers of this very real aussie bloke.
