PT didnt get that chance as the flaming had already begun. Many ppl in this thread speculated on the reasons (and still are) without any idea what they were talking about. There are always 2 sides of the story. If he had rung PT and discussed it with them, they would have let him know exactly what the issues were and what was required to resolve them. Lets not forget they were there afterhours and did mechanical work on the car as well that may have taken it over time. Mark and Shaun always tell me to "see how it goes and if there is any issues let them know". Ive had the odd issue and its always been resolved 110%. Working WITH a workshop will save you many $1000's over time rather than expecting them to work for you. Anyone can tune to get a number, we all know that's not the right way.←But they tried to say that the exhaust and stall was zapping the power out.If they new what was done to the exhaust, they would have known that it was not the issue.I had the same mods with a 3000rpm stall and made 300+rwkw on 12psi,so the stall wasnt taking power out either. My 2 cents

All they have said about the matter is that they would refund the money for the tune and would rather not have anything to do with the car. that's fair enough concidering how they were treated. People have speculated about the reasons without asking the source including the cars owner. A call to them this morning would have been wise to find out why the car dynoéd lower than others and what could be done to improve. I know some cars that dyno with under 200rwkw yet went and ran a 12 first run and others with 250+ rwkw that cant crack one at all.

Here is what they said back on page 4 The vehicle mentioned had a number of issues, which unlike the owner, we would prefer not to publish on an internet forum. The catalytic converter was one but it was far from the major safety concern.Other ppl have discussed other reasons though. They had previously sent the car away to have some of the issues fixed. BTW, I dont work there and have no interest in the company other than ive been a customer that's been VERY well looked after by them. Many things said in this thread have been very harsh and unfair on their workmanship which I know is extremely good.
Adam Here since the start... Lifetime Members 10,282 Member For: 21y 9m 14d Gender: Male Location: Victoria Posted 08/09/06 07:42 AM Share Posted 08/09/06 07:42 AM I hate reading threads like this. They achieve nothing and cause nothing but ill feelings between the parties involved. The problem is the the owner gets in here and complains about the tune etc. When/if the tuner in question fixes the car the customers attitude suddenly does a 180 and their happy again, but what comes of the ranting posts? Nothing, they stay posted on the forum for everyone to see and to continue running down the tuner in question, even though in the end they might have resolved the issue.I've had a few minor issues with my tunes but there's no way in hell I'd jump on the forum and start whinging about my tuner because I know that they will fix the issues free of charge and have done so in the past.Maybe PowerTorque didn't do the best they could, maybe they did, I don't know. However Shaun and Mark have remained very professional in their replies and I thank them for that. I also think they have came up with the best solution for all involved and that is a full refund of the tuning fee.Blowute, go and get your money back and try another tuner. I'll look forward to reading about you results then. This thread is going nowhere...
