I think using those isues for the reason the car did not make power is a crock,

if the car had safty isues, it should not have been tuned,

there is no bigger risk for the car to make full power, over hose clamps,

there is no more load on the fuel lines at 280kws then 258.

there is no safety isue with the cat, if they don't want to tune with a guted cat ,that is fine, but you don't just tune a little bit and blame the cat.

there could be another problem, stopping them from getting more power out of it, and that is fine, but you don't blame rubish like that,

and not expect to get flamed.

I supose you can get Nick to look at it, and have a go when he goes up there, and you will soon findout what isues there is.

I am not trying to knock a tuner about this, but I think if there is problems with a car, and so it was not able to be tuned, the guy should have been charged, just what time it took and told to come back when he has fixed the fuel line isue,

every one of us would have been disapionted in the result,

David

Shouldn’t the tuner have informed Blowute while the car was on the dyno on the day of the tune and inform him about the low rwk's he is registering.....? Also shouldn’t the tuner have some sort of idea on the amount of power a car could produce with the modifications in which Blowute has done...?

not having a go at the tuner but it would have been fair on both parties if they had just picked up the phone.

That's the general consensus

you can get cars that have problems, and will not make the power, untill the cause is found, this could be one of those cars,

but you get it brought back another day, untill it is fixed, or if you don't want to spend the time to find the problem, then you give the money back and explain this as the reason, they have offered the money back, so he can take it to someone else and see if they can get it going better, if they can't still fix it then power torque made the right decision to get out early, if someone else gets it going like it should, then Power Torque will have missed out on a chance to learn some of the isues, that can be had.

Hope it all works out in the end

If that had happened in the first place this thread wouldnt exist other than to let everyone know about a happy customer. PT didnt get that chance as the flaming had already begun. Many ppl in this thread speculated on the reasons (and still are) without any idea what they were talking about. There are always 2 sides of the story. If he had rung PT and discussed it with them, they would have let him know exactly what the issues were and what was required to resolve them. Lets not forget they were there afterhours and did mechanical work on the car as well that may have taken it over time. Mark and Shaun always tell me to "see how it goes and if there is any issues let them know". Ive had the odd issue and its always been resolved 110%. Working WITH a workshop will save you many $1000's over time rather than expecting them to work for you. Anyone can tune to get a number, we all know that's not the right way.

I dont understand this at all, if the tunner new there were problems on the day why didnt he tell blownute then, why should he have to ring the tunner and ask him, he should of been told there and then on the day.

Also if the tunner reflash'es it back to stock how will the car cope with all the bigger injectors fuel pump etc when its on a standed tune?
