to add to all this, it basically took Simon (xtreme) one go with my T with a mail order tune. I ran it on the dyno, the plugs broke down, sent the box back, re-did the plugs and he revised his tune - sent it back and 304rwkw with safe afrs, nice smooth tune with a hell of a boot down low  Plus, to leave your car there all day, and then they work on it at the end of the day? WTF... fair enough if they had no notice of you dropping the car in, but a weeks notice and they still couldn't give it a bit of priority!

Take the car back, and whinge and whine until they fix the problem. I'm pretty sure it isn't a hardware issue! If it is, take it elsewhere and get another tune or opinion. A good option could be when the wog goes to brissy, he'll give you a tyre frying tune :spoton:

Mate, I feel for you. If I were you I would buy a good flowing cat, as you dont wont any ramifications for having a gutted cat. If you fit a good cat and then you know the exhaust will be good for 300rwkw plus. Take it back and say allright I have had my exhaust checked there are no problems, I am not happy with the power you got me, as you did say around 280rwkw.

No point getting really agro with them as they abviousely have enough business and dont care if they loose a bit.

Apart from that RDP are good, but I dont think they tune edit, I could be wrong.

Good luck, if they really stuff you around, we could organise a cruise.

Scotty

Sounds like they dont give a f*ck to me. :fool: ......ring them back and ask if they had trouble as other tuners are doing a lot better and ask them why they are not up to the current technology or current industry standard.....if they flog you off with this FOS exhaust excuses I would ring CAPA and lodge a formal "I'm f*cked off letter" adding... can you please review the quality of tuners that are selling your product....send Powertorque a copy....

As I stated before they cannot tune BF's due to software and downloading issues. I guessing they have a big enough market in LS1's to not bother about Ford...which I think is a stupid business decision. They advertise regularly in Bris radio for LS1 upgrades to 340kw at fly for over 3k :nono: .....if they were smart they would add that a Ford can do the same power for about half that...... :spoton:

Add least we have the wog :pinch: .....I heard a rumour that he travels interstate...is this true?????

All the graph shows is a power curve, no afr's or boost or even torque. He told me it was 13 psi which bled back down to 10. It says 704nm at 84km/h, 258kw at148km/h and Motive force -1978Lb @82km/h. I think he was surprised at the power to but said thatd be the torque converter. When I asked what would be holding it back, they said exhaust.

Sad to hear that you've had a bad experience on the first tune.

To put you power figure into perspective, my first XR6T had:

Wog Cooler

Centre Muffler Removed

2nd CAI

Wog Tune

286 RWKW measured on Power Torque's Dyno......

Did Mark do the work?

Mate if your not happy give Shaun at powertorque a call and chat to him with your concerns. They are a great bunch of guys there and go out of there way to resolve any issues.

I think you are all getting to worried about a dyno figure. As we all know dynos read different figures to different dynos. Powertorques mainline dyno will always read lower than a dyno dynamics. For example there was a car tuned at powertorque that makes 280rwkw day in day out on there dyno and on the RDP dyno day pulled close on 300rwkw with no changes.

Powertorque have heaps of there cars running 250rwkw to 290rwkw running 11 sec 1/4 mile runs. One has 283rwkw and runs 11.01. Another with around 250rwkw running 11.55.

Take it up and give it a run at the track and it will soon give you an indication of power by what mph you run. You may just suprise yourself.

I have had heaps of dealings with the powertorque guys with my car and they couldnt be more helpfull and honest bunch of guys, that's why there reputation is so good. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Just pick up the phone and have a chat. Youre not doing yourself any good giving them a serve online and its not fair to them if they dont even know that youre not completely happy.

I agree 100% about giving them a call and sorting out the issue

On a side note, some of the LS1 boys are saying that some of our "300rwkw" cars should have a run on the power torque dyno to see what they "really" make. Any qld volunteers?? I can think of a few, in particular a 350++ car that should go to the PT dyno day :spit:

As I said on the LS1 forum, with those mods, on dynos all over Australia, the general consensus is that cars will make 300rwkw. Whether some dynos say 290, 280, 310 or 320, the average dyno figure for the mods listed is around 300rwkw, low reading dyno or not.
