Hi

I was hoping to use my first post on the site on something a little more positive but I have to defend myself here.

I am an Autobarn accessories installer in Mackay.

I can appreciate what your saying about dodgy installers but please dont bag all autobarn stores, or all stores in a chain, because of problems with one particular store.

I have seen some very dodgy work from other Autobarn stores as well as Strathfield and all the others.

I consider myself to be good at my job and take all precautions necessary to keep the equipment, vehicle and occupants in tip-top condition. I'm not claiming to be the be-all and end-all of fitters but I do a quality job that will outlast the life of the equipment.

How about naming the store so others know to keep away from that particular shop and not just all the stores in general.

Thanks Dan

Fair call mate, for a first post standing up for yourself and what you believe is never a waste. I have seen some good work come out some of Autobarns stores, and they guys and gals passionate about their work.

Enjoy the forum mate.

Wellcome to the forum,

what made you come onto the forum, have you got a xr6t? or just checking the forum out?

Thanks for the welcome. I promise to not bite too many heads off lol.

I am buying a MKII BA XR6 Turbo. A mate put me onto your forums. I was just trying to research about getting an auto or manual. I was keen on the manual but after reading alot of the posts I think I might get an auto. They are just as quick and little more lazy to drive if you just put it in 'D' and dont need the upgrade of a bigger clutch. I will just do an oil cooler upgrade just to help the auto out a little. Then injectors, exhaust, intake and edit. Should go nicely.
