I may need re-aligning but, I dont think you loose as much through the front wheel driveline. rear wheel you loose about 60kw but I thought you only loose roughly 30kw through the other. So what im getting at would be to say that 190fwkw would be around 150-160atw?

I don't know about loosing 60kw with an auto transmission. My Typhoon was dynoed at the recent RDP dyno day at 245 rwkw. FPV say that you get 270 to start with, so that would make a loss of 25kw.

Unless of course the power figures have been understated by FPV from the start... :roflmbo:

I have a aps phaze 2 which is supposed to be 330fwkw

dyno was 270rwkw in a manual

When I had phaze 1 which is supposed to be 300fwkw

dyno was 240rwkw

I can only go by that, which is what I know.

Not too sure what the loss through the drivetrain is but there's a few of us that are going to put ours on the Dyno over the next couple of weeks to see what they produce.

Hopefully it will be fairly accurate as there's a heap of stories over in the UK about how they have trouble dynoing the XR5's with the ECU going into a safety mode. We'll see...

Hey that guy Nang 3, does he drive a black XR5 Turbo? If he does I was pretty impressed with it myself when he was behind me on Orrong Rd a couple of months back. My car was only stock at the time and it kept up.

If you are refering to KPM Motorsport I don't think they will respond. The claim of 190atw is just ridiculous without some other engine mods and a bigger turbo. They also have some pretty good claims on other XR models (600kw XR6T & 450rwkw XR8's)!!

In relation to me heading to the dyno, it's all about time at the moment. Becoming a father 5 weeks ago, and getting married in 4 weeks time has left me a bit busy. What I have managed though is some in gear accelaration times (using a G-Tech) of the car with an without an edit. These were done on the same stretch of road each time to make sure the results were accurate.

The results for the un-edited car were.....

3rd gear 80 - 120km/h 4.51 seconds

3rd gear 80 - 130km/h 5.87 seconds

4th gear 80 - 120km/h 5.26 seconds

4th gear 80 - 130km/h 6.75 seconds

Interestingly, on the first attempt of the 3rd gear 80-120 test I forgot to turn the air conditioning off, and the car ran a time of 4.98 seconds!!!

The results for the edited car were...

3rd gear 80 - 120km/h 3.97 seconds

3rd gear 80 - 130km/h 5.30 seconds

4th gear 80 - 120km/h 4.54 seconds

4th gear 80 - 130km/h 5.80 seconds

So, in 3rd gear, the edit is almost .5 seconds quicker than stock. In 4th gear, the gap blows out to .7 - .9 second.
