This is just another example of people placing too much emphasis on maximum power instead of the whole tune I.e how quickly it comes on boost and where the power is made etc.

A "complete" tune that delivers good low / midrange, 250rwkw with a 2.1 60' would get into the 12's.

As a comparison I'm running similar power to yours and with a worse 60' managed a 12.8 @ 182kms on stock tyres. From memory Flukey ran a 12.55 with around 255rwkw albeit with a better 60'.

I agree.

I've never been one to look at outright power alone....The real world is more than just numbers....That's why I have asked the question about my time. I can now compare PERFORMANCE and not just a dyno figure....So maybe my custom tune wasn't as good as it could have been???

Cheers.

put up your dyno graph, and I'm sure we'll get a better idea of where the problem may be.....

Also, I'm guessing you let the auto change on it's own..... or did you manually change?

You can start chasing lower ET's in a number of ways, but the bottom line is, as the times come down, the stress on all your components goes up substantially.

Do you have a specific goal you wish to achieve?

I was told to leave it in performance mode and let it shift on it's own....This was supposed to be faster!!?? I left that as a constant last night and tried different tyre pressures and launch techniques.

Unfortunately I didn't get the dyno print out.

I'm not really after a specific target for now as the car is very mild.....I took it out last night to see how it would perform and if the custom tune is working as well as possible. At the same time, I don't want to be killing the car!! I was going to try a different tuner but at $400-500 for a custom tune it's an expensive process!!

Cheers.

Get a copy of the dyno grapg.

Your peak power figure should be available for more than 50rpm or so, and as a guide, my peak power figure is in the midrange, not top end.
