Hey guys, not sure if this has ever come up in forum before, but over the last month or so I have been getting a quite prominent clunking noise coming from the rear of the car whenever I go over a speed bump or a round about which is raised or something like that. Anyone had anything similar? Any ideas? :happyfriends:

Cheers

Everyone has a clunk of one degree to another.

Do a search, it has been covered, recovered and covered again.

I realise that, and thanks for the feedback. The only reason why I posted it is because it is really a loud clunk! Just wondering if any other guys had similar probs and that it wasnt anything immediately serious? Thanks anyways

Had the same prob, Its the centre bushing that supports the diff housing to the rear of its cradle.... probably worn out.... You could also try tightening the bolt which runs straight through the bush to the rear of the diff casing, be carefull not to strip the tread as it is alloy...

If you have warranty they should sort it out.... if you are loud enough.

They did mine...

If you ain't got warranty, you have drop the whole rear cradle out of the car bash the old bush out, freeze the new one ova night in the freezer and whack the new one in...

P.S THAT WILL NOT EFFECT THE STANDARD ISSUE.....CROWN AND PINION CLUNK ... THAT COMES WITH THE PACKAGE...

good luck pete :gooff:
